Half of the 30th Regimental Draft embarked the SS Atreus in Montreal, Quebec

Disembarked in London, England and proceeded to Witley where the draft was absorbed into the 8th Reserve Battalion to continue training

Transferred to the 54th Battalion

 

Sep 27, 1918

Arrived at the CIBD (Canadian Infantry Base Depot) in Etaples, France and Taken On Strength of the 54th Battalion

 

Sep 28, 1918

After leaving the base depot, he joined the CCRC (Canadian Corps Reinforcement Camp) in Aubin St. Vaast, France

 

Sep 29, 1918

Transferred to the 21st Battalion while still at the reinforcement camp and before he could join the 54th Battalion at the front

After leaving the reinforcement camp, Private Wyant joined the 21st Battalion in the support line west of Cambrai, France

 

Oct 11, 1918

During the liberation of the town of Iwuy, France, Private Wyant received shrapnel wounds to his legs and feet and was evacuated to the No. 9 CFA (Canadian Field Ambulance) for first aid

 

Oct 12, 1918

Transported to the No. 30 CCS (Casualty Clearing Station)

 

Oct 13, 1918

Transferred via the No. 6 AT (Ambulance Train) and admitted to the No. 2 Australian General Hospital in Wimereux, France where surgery was performed to remove shrapnel from his right leg and foot

 

Oct 25, 1918

Invalided to England aboard the Hospital Ship St. David

 

On arrival in England, he was admitted to the Bethnal Green Military Hospital

Transferred to the EORD (Eastern Ontario Regimental Depot) for pay purposes while in hospital

 

Jan 14, 1919

Transferred to the Canadian Convalescent Hospital in Bear Wood Park, Wokingham

 

Mar 13, 1919

Transferred to the Canadian Convalescent Hospital in Epsom

 

Jun 3, 1919

Granted 12 days leave

 

Jun 17, 1919

Sentenced to 2 days CB (Confined to Barracks) and forfeited 1 day’s pay for overstaying his leave by 1 day

Transferred to the No. 5 Canadian General Hospital in Kirkdale, Liverpool

On being invalided to Canada, he embarked the Hospital Ship Essequibo in Liverpool

Disembarked in Portland, Maine, USA and proceeded to Toronto, Ontario, Canada where he was Taken On Strength of Military District No. 2 Depot and admitted to the DOH (Dominion Orthopedic Hospital) in Toronto.

Transferred to the St. Andrews Hospital in Toronto for nasal surgery

 

Oct 9, 1919

Transferred back to the Dominion Orthopedic Hospital in Toronto.  While here, special boots were ordered due to difficulty with damage to his right foot and ankle

 

Oct 24, 1919

Granted leave until November 7, 1919

 

Nov 28, 1919

Special boots were fitted and found satisfactory.  He was then discharged from hospital and transferred to Military District No. 2 Casualty Company in the Exhibition Park, Toronto

 

Dec 2, 1919

Discharged from the CEF in Toronto, Ontario

Ø  Proposed residence on discharge Stayner, Ontario

Following his discharge, the British War Medal and Victory Medals were sent to him at Stayner, Ontario
