Transferred via A.T. 29 (ambulance train) to the 2nd Canadian General Hospital in Le Treport, France for a gun shot wound to the left leg

Private Young was discharged from the 2nd Canadian General Hospital and admitted to the 3rd Convalescent Depot in Le Treport, France

Alfred passed away at his residence, 311 McDonnel St. Peterborough, on this day from acute circulatory collapse, chronic arteriosclerotic heart disease and partial small bowel obstruction. During the past 5 years he was employed as a guard at the Canadian General Electric plant. He left behind his wife, one son Berton Harry, 5 sisters, and brother Walter who was also a member of the 21st Battalion.
