During an artillery barrage at Valenciennes, he was wounded by a shrapnel shell in the left arm and hand and admitted to No 13 CFA (Canadian Field Ambulance).  He was transferred the same day to No 6 CCS (Casualty Clearing Station)

Transferred to No 22 General Hospital


Nov 6, 1918

Invalided to England and admitted to the Fort Pitt Military Hospital at Chatham 

Posted to the NBRD (New Brunswick Regimental Depot) while in hospital

Transferred to the Moore Barracks Canadian General Hospital at Shorncliffe


Dec 21, 1918

Discharged from hospital to duty


Dec 22, 1918

TOS the 13th Reserve Battalion at Witley

TOS MD Wing No 3 at Kinmel Park, pending return to Canada

Embarked the SS Lapland at Liverpool England
