On fatigues yet.  Went out in afternoon with a party of 10.  Hostess Mrs Campbell.  Went to a theatre then had tea and a drive around the park.  Back to the hospital

On fatigues yet.  Drew my clothes from Depot at La Zackeley (?) this morning.  Walk in park in afternoon

 

May 5, 1917

In park all day.  Fatigue changed to laying table in Dining room and Cleaning room.

On fatigues.  In Park in afternoon.  Concert by children in Dining room tonight.

On fatigues.  Went downtown in afternoon.  Wet and drizzly most of day.  Whist drive in Dining room tonight.

Fatigues changed.  In charge of No. 1 Ward.  Went to New Brighton for afternoon

All walking cases went to Fazakerley to see Queen.  She spoke to some of the boys.  King and Queen visited several parts of Liverpool.

Went to Birkenhead and visited Parker there in Hospital (most likely Pte LA Parker)

Took a trip on the boat today to Egremont and back again

Went over to Birkenhead to see Parker in Hospital there

Spent the day with Brown’s people in Liverpool

 

May 30, 1917

Left hospital this morning.  Joined party of Canadians at Lime St Station for Ramsgate.  Arrived 4.30.  Had medical examination and bath and transferred to hospital clothes.  Have to be in bed 9.30

 

May 31, 1917

Breakfast 7.00 am.  Parade 7.30 to 8.00.  Medical inspection 9.00 am.  Parade 11.00 am.  Dinner 12.00 noon.  Have the afternoon to ourselves.  Quite a few 21st Fellows here wounded.
