        Same as yesterday.  Hospital staff left here this morning for France.  New staff from Canada moved in.

        Went down and seen the town today.  Got paid £1 today

        June 3, 1917  | 
        Went into park today.  Went into Quartermasters Office on typewriter
        today

        June 4, 1917  | 
        Typewriting all day.  Town here has been a seaside resort before the war
        but since they began to bombard it everybody of means has moved out of it.  Awful quiet place now

        June 5, 1917  | 
        Typewriting all afternoon.  Aeroplane raid near Shurness around mouth of the
        Thames.

        Typewriting all afternoon.  Turned wet in evening

        Warning came again today but nothing came of
        it.  Typewriting in afternoon.

        Examined by Ward Doctor this morning.  Marked D1.  Typewriting
        all day.  Very warm.

        tonight.  Typewriting all afternoon.

        Warning sounded about 10.30 this morning

        Raid by 2 Zeppelins on town about 1 dozen
        bombs dropped on town.  First bomb exploded an
        ammunition dump on Pier.  One Zeppelin brought
        down.

        Was examined by Doctor today and paid £10 for
        my sick leave

        Church in evening.
